Polish food sale
Springfield – Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., in the Indian Orchard section will have a frozen Polish food sale (pierogi, golabki, kapusta) on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 21, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Springfield – Gardner Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 368 Bay St., will hold their 3rd annual fall bazaar on Friday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Featuring vintage and new clothing and jewelry, a bake sale, plus a raffle every hour. Proceeds to benefit the Women’s Missionary.
Art & craft fair
East Longmeadow – St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1 Porter Road will hold an art and craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Featuring artists and crafters offering items ranging from hand knit sweaters to hand-turned wooden bowls and birdhouses, homemade jam to ceramics and glassworks. The art and craft fair also offers a bake sale including a cookie walk with a selection of cookies sold by the pound. Their kitchen will also offer breakfast and lunch items such as homemade soups, chili and loaded baked potato for sale. There are two floors of 9 plus spacious rooms and ample parking.
Christmas tag sale
Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. will be holding a Christmas tag sale on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will be held, rain or shine, in the church’s Bryan Hall. Featuring many colorful Christmas decorations and much more.
Agawam – The St. John the Evangelist Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held in the parish center located behind the church at 833 Main St. Articles for purchase include Christmas and knitted items, jewelry, attic treasures, candy, baked goods, and books/media. A basket/gift card raffle will be held, and a snack bar will be available. Santa will visit from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Bazaar proceeds will go to the parish loan repayment. All local/state Covid protocols will be followed at this event.
Holiday fair and Christmas shoppe
Ludlow – The First Church in Ludlow, 859 Center St. will be holding a “Holiday Fair,” on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring Santa’s Workshop, Cemetery Boxes, knitted crocheted, quilted, and handmade items, Bake Shoppe, Baskets & Bows, Baby Boutique, bookstore and much more.
The church will also hold a “Christmas Shoppe,” on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11. Featuring handmade Christmas décor, knitted, crocheted, quilted and handmade items, Bookstore, and the Hummingbird Shop will be open which features fabric, yarn and needlework supplies.
90th anniversary celebration
Longmeadow – St. Mary’s Parish, 519 Longmeadow St. will celebrate its 90th anniversary this Christmas. The current church on the corner of Bliss and Longmeadow Streets, opened its doors for the first time on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 1931, only 8 months after breaking ground in May 1931. As part of the celebration, there will be a 90th Anniversary Celebration dinner on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Twin Hills Country Club. For more details, call the parish office at 413-567-3124.
Holiday food drive/blanket and sock drive
Agawam – Sacred Heart Parish Center, 1061 Springfield St. in the Feeding Hills section, will be holding a holiday food drive/blanket and sock drive for the West Springfield/Agawam Parish Cupboard. There will be a list of the requested items from the Executive Director of The Parish Cupboard of West Springfield/Agawam that you may pick up at the entrances of the church and the parish center. This drive will run from Nov. 21 through Dec. 21. Your donations may be brought to the church, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Annual Christmas Bazaar
Chicopee – Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Grattan St., will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. Homemade Greek pastries made by the church’s own parishioner’s all packaged to go, a vast array of gift baskets, a variety of Christmas items such as wreaths, trees, and signs, and imported products from Greece such as olive oil, honey, coffee, oregano and liquor. Masks are required for entry.
Free weekly Veterans lunch
Holyoke – Community Roots Neighborhood Services offers a free hot lunch for Veterans and their adult immediate family (Parents or spouse). The lunches are every Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 485 Appleton St. On Thursday, Nov. 25, they will hold the annual Thanksgiving Day lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium. All Veterans, their immediate adult family members and those who assist Veterans are welcome to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Day lunch with all the trimmings, parade and football on TV in the company of fellow Veterans. Agawam – A special drive-thru Holiday Supper will be hosted by the Agawam Congregational Church Supper Club on Friday, Dec. 10 from 4:30 to 5 p.m. The supper will be an Italian theme of ziti & sauce, meatballs, salad, roll and butter with a ticket price of $15. The supper will take place, rain, snow or shine with vehicles asked to form a drive-thru lane, as with previous suppers, so that the suppers can be passed through the driver’s side window after the driver provides a ticket or tickets. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, Dec. 8 at noon and may be done by calling the church office at 413-786-7111 or email [email protected]. The church office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. If more convenient, checks may be sent, well in advance to the office and tickets will be mailed out. Telephone numbers and return address information would need to be included. Tickets are also available before and after 10 a.m. Sunday service. The church is located at 745 Main St.
Easthampton – The Baha’i Community of Western Mass./Southern Vt. invites everyone to its regular, online devotional programs as follows: weekly Sunday Devotions via Zoom at 11:30 a.m. each Sunday morning, hosted by local communities including Baha’i of Easthampton and others on an alternating basis. Agawam -Bee’s Wax Candles are now in.
